Got this idea from another blog while surfing. I would link to the original blog, but I lost the link sorry. The Internet Movie Database compiles a list of the top films of all time based on votes by their visitors. I have highlighted all the ones I've definitely seen all the way through.

50.The Bridge on the River Kwai
The list is flexible. Often new movies will suddenly appear in the top twenty or thirty but as time goes on will gradually slip off the scale depending on their long term popularity.
I scored 25, and i've seen big sections of some of the ones I didn't highlight. Considering I have pretty narrow tastes when it comes to films I think I've done pretty well.

2 Comments:
Some of the films you haven't seen amaze me SD.
I can recommend the following:
Lord of the rings: The Return of the King (for completeness sake if nothing else, not as good as The Two Towers)
Casablanca (just so you can tell people that the line "Play it again, Sam" is never actually said)
The Usual Suspects (Who is Kaiser Soze?)
Memento (watch it sober though, its a bit of a mindbender)
American Beauty (A startling insight into the american psyche)
Apocalypse Now (watch the redux version though it makes alot more sense with the extra 50 mins)
The Third Man (Intrigue and espionage have never been done better)
Eternal Sunshine...etc (Great performances and great story, simple as that)
Yes it is a bit of a surprise really. I plan on seeing return of the king in the near future.
Many of the ones you list I've probably seen and have forgotten or have seen at least part of the way through.
The ones I highlighted I have definitely seen, probably more than once.
I must admit a few I didn't recognise straight away, such as Eternal Sunshine..., Memento etc. after reading the entry on the IMDB now intrigue me and I'll look out for those in the future.
My performance for 50-100 is even worse I've only seen about 18 of those.
I admit my tastes are somewhat limited. Your interest in different film genre is clearly deeper than mine.
I think I've done pretty well. It would be interesting to know how others would fair on that list.
