Why am I Here?

I don't mean in the actual purpose of life, on this planet kind of thing, I mean keeping a blog.

Over the last year or two on the net all I've heard is blog this, blog that. I have read a few in fact. I haven't delved too deeply though. Time is finite and to read every entry in every blog that interested me would take too much of the precious resource from me.

Let's be honest here probably 99% of blog material will remain unread except for those closely assoiciated with it. I guess for many it's more about writing, getting it out rather than having it read that is important otherwise blogging wouldn't be as big as it is.

Also is the idea of leaving your mark on the world or the net at least. The concept of writing a journal that when your gone anyone in the world can pick up and read is a powerful one.

Plus it gives you a chance to reflect on how you have changed and learn things about yourself that you might have forgotten.

So I guess these are all good reasons to write a blog. Maybe I'll even think of more reasons after I've been doing it for a while.
